Since the Fed Gov destroyed all C1 and C2 war stocks (Liberal Gov), its made all current owners of the rare C1A1s into a small group.

Just how many C1A1s are surviving?

The DND was supposed to have retained 300 of each model for museum and research purposes. I ran the numbers a couple years ago and there was still some stock in the system.

Civilian wise, I ran the numbers province by province on that Ottawa Sun online registry snapshot. The numbers of civilian C1s registered was more than 300 but less than 700. You have to run it province by province to get a better count because that site would cap out at 300 returns.

There are also a certain number of dewats.

All in all, it is not a rare rifle, but is sought after and does not show up that often. The one I listed on the EE last month had over 930 views in just 5 days.

Awesome poster! I'd love to get me one of those for the wall.

Koldt I'll be 50 this year and do you know how sad I am for selling my FN before the Prohib status for peanuts and now can never own one again. I was out of organized shooting when the laws were being past and have to pay the consequences for life.
:( I had a little aussie FAL that was registered to a buddy because I didn't have my RPAL at the time. Prohibited and I can never get my rifle back from him. :(

I got the poster back from being mounted, and here 'tis.

I already had the Diemaco poster hard mounted without a border, so thought I'd try this one with. As seen in the lower photo, it is edged in a dark green to match.

I got lucky with the images as they're at least as good as the commercial photos from the other posters. All from a small pocket camera avec tripod.

I'm please with the project. Total time, photos, computer, then to the shop, probably 40-50hrs.

Now Thatz Beautiful!
Scratch that...
A Work Of ART!
I hate these stupid Canadian laws.
I mean this was a rifle that served this great country for how many years???
Now I have to cry.
:(

About 550 were mine, hoping that if I clicked it just one more time, it would be non restricted all of a sudden. :(

Wow, just had a cold chill run down my back looking at your photo. Excellent work on it, by the way.
If you chance find the 22cal. insert we utilized in our FN C1's during indoor practice in Wainwright Alberta, that would really help in your Picture.

FNs - Ah

Here's a shot of me with a C2 in the "old days" on Reforger in 1980 as a Flyover to 3RCR.

I managed to maintain a tiny collection of various FNs, including an ex-Ontario Police 8L - great rifles.

Cheers,

Sheldon
