OMG......... a BFA!!!

So now the question begs............... who's the hottie in the picture?

Hungry here: yuk yuk yuk, that's my old girlfriend. She found a better offer/arrangement with some other rich dude, I was too poor (and terminally immature) for her tastes. :D

You must have hit Cornwallis a few weeks ahead of me - I was there from Jul-Sept '77 (Crse 7714).

And the same lockers and bunks are still sitting there.

But nothing is worse than anyone who has spent time in Petersville. Everyone knows the infamous shower quonset lovingly referred to as Auschwitz.

The quonset huts were being demolished last time I was there. (Couple years ago) It sure is a different town these days!!

What is this picture doing here? Wrong forum. Move it to the CGN Youth Wing where it belongs.

Great pic
Did they ever tear down the quansit barracks? They had issues with asbestos insulation starting to break down. I had a great time when I was there.

God I hated Wainwright, I went through in 2003 and the locker layout is still the same dam way, and yes, those beds are still there in storage.....some things never change

You are an old bastard.

#### pre-SARP. Now I'm thinking that there's a good chance that you are a veteran of the 106 recoilless.

Wainwright, man what a depressing dump. 2 Winter Ex's from Winnipeg, 2 day drive, in OLD Deuce, Arctic Candles in the window for defrost, Loved the 2nd Battalion.

I went through Wainwright in 2004... Wasn't my favourite place.

Had to sit around there, waiting for my rebadge to RCR, then to Meaford. THAT place was a resort compared to good ol' Wainwright!

Pro Patria!

Talk about old. Back in 1968, after the FN had been on general issue for about 9 yrs,we had to put on a quarter guard for a visiting General Officer. I remember one of the old boys who had been dinged for the guard #####ing about the fact that no Lee Enfields were available because he still had'nt mastered weapons drill with the FN!

We were seeing the last of the career Privates about then, and a bunch of solid citizens they were. Some had stayed Privates since WW2 and were happy as a clam to stay that way. I remember having one of the old bandits in and telling him that it was down to the wire and that he had no choice but to go on a Jr NCO course. He was mighty unhappy about it and protested that it was going to cost him too much lost money from his other sidelines.
