my weak hand thumb goes on the takedown lever and my strong hand thumb rests near the base of my extended weak hand thumb. That seems to help me not put pressure on the slide release on the P226. But yeah, one time i rested on it too much and it didn't lock back :-/

thanks for the info re: sights! I was hoping for night sights but i guess overall this is still a great deal!

I use thumbs forward grip as well, but they still have to rest somewhere . Mine has regular sights. Btw the barrel is Fire dragon, I dont think they mention it anywhere on the website.

I have had an FNP 9 for a while now. Fobus makes a paddle holster for the Sig SP2022 that fits the FNP 9 really well.

From the info it indicates that barrel length is 4" making it a Prohibited Firearm in Canada and not able to be imported for commercial sale/use. Unless FN is willing to make a custom barrel (106mm) for Canadian orders and unless they would do so economically, then I don't see that gun coming to Canada.

For us to have a custom barrel made ourselves, we would require a steady and adequate supply of the guns as well as a reasonable demand for them, enough to justify the expense of making and testing the barrels. If that was to happen it would take quite a while before it became reality.

Aside from the addition of a thumb safety and a shorter overall length, it's not much different from the M&P9.
