I just got a fobus paddle holster for my cz75b 9mm.
It fits great even though on the package it says for
cz75/75bd/85/cadet .22/75d 9mm compact.
Here's my problem, I have a Kadet .22 conversion kit for my gun and it doesn't fit in the holster. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks for any input

A little off topic, but do yourself and your gun(s) a favour, and ditch the POS
holster before it wrecks the living s**t out of it/them...
(You have been warned......)

Could be that some leather guys feel that fobus plastic holsters wear the blue off their gun too fast. It is true that they do wear it off a little faster IMHO than other holsters; but all holsters will wear blue off if you carry all the time.

Fobus is light weight, thrifty, zero maintenance, comfortable, concealable and indestructable. I use them every day.

Note: Not a slight of leather. It is good stuff.

There are so many better choices in a 'plastic' holster..BladeTech,Uncle Mikes,
etc...
Yeah, the Fobus units are 'inexpensive', but the others listed aren't much more upfront, and are miles ahead in quality, fit and finish, and wear on your guns.

I tend to agree with Foxbat. The Fobus holsters are just too inconsistent. I have one for a 4" S&W and it is OK, but I know of others who could not get their guns out of their holsters. Liberal doses of Armor All help, but the main problem is the riveted design. All the other are adjustable for tension. Blade Tech males a great injection molded holster for about $15 US that is superior to the Fobus.

Never used Blade Tech. I am going to check them out. I have used a few Unkle Mikes and Fobus and never really found noticeable difference in quality?

Original question

This is to answer your original question. The front sight on the Kadet is a little higher than those on the 9mm CZs. It is due to this little difference that your Kadet doen't fit in the Fobus.

I have emailed Fobus about this discrepancy. They did not acknowledge.

I feel that the Fobus conceals well but I had a hard time drawing my CZ85. Spraying silicone on the inside helped a bit. I have sold the holster since.

Hope this helps.

I was considering a Fobus...but after reading a lot of the sh!t the guys here had to say about them, I went with a Safariland holster instead.

Yeah, I would say it is the sight height difference that is causing you problems.

Thanks for help

Thanks for the info Jabbaman. I also measured the difference between the two heights of the slides, The Cadet is about 1/4" taller than the 9mm.That's not even measuring from the front sight.
Do you know what kind of holster would work with the Cadet?

I've got a fobus paddle for my XD9 and 1911. I've got other holsters for them too. The XD holster is great, good fit and retention, but it does drag more then others, that said it works well. The 1911 also works well but beats the heck out of the blueing:( . If I had a parked gun or hard chrome it would be great. Blade tech is a great holster, have 2 in different lengths for my N frames, the only thing I'd do different is by beltslides instead of paddles for them. Some of the Uncle mike's kydex is good, but some not so good, try before you buy, I like my Mikes 1911 beltslide much better then the Fobus but it wears considerably as well. My next holster will probably be a Serpa for the XD family
