Fobus SG21 Holster

I'm looking at taking a club holster course and would like thoughts on the Fobus SG21 holster for PPC/IPSC use. I can get the holster and 2 mag holders shipped for $47. I see some are suggesting Blade-Tech, however the prices I've seen are around $60 + the 2mag holder
Your comments would be appreciated...thanks.

i had a fobus and couldn't stand it, it was by far the worst i had to modify itto be able to get my gun out, it was horrible, the mag holders from fobus are fine but i would stay away from the holster I bought a comp-tac and it is great. You can't go wrong with a blade tech either
 
fobus are tight on the trigger guard.

i use one in ipsc standard, i've got to rework the holster to let the higher comp sights enter in....with the blade tech DOH,no need to, their sight channel is high enough for guns with higher sights than stock.
 
I bought a Fobus GL2, sold it at a profit, and eventually I bought another GL2, used, for US$10.

I have never, and I would never, use it for either a match or for carry. It is strictly a range holster (for impromptu guests). They are cheap. I would not recommend a Fobus to anyone for any reason, and I will not be buying anther Fobus. Regardless of your application, there are way too many better options out there.

Fobus will place you at a significant competitive disadvantage. Period.
 
For a starter holster I think they're good. Its a way to get into the action shooting games and see if you like it. I started with Fobus and upgraded quickly, I don't regret spending the money but my Fobus holsters rarely get used compared with my Blade-tech's. On the other hand my Fobus mag carriers get a lot of use and I dont plan to replace them any time soon.
