FOC creditcard fraud?

I am not defending what happened and if anything, Blame the criminals doing this. I have never been out of pocket for CC misuse. I have from an EMT. So Life goes on for me. Anyway people should be upset, but FOC is a good store and I will continue to buy from them.

What we should be doing is worrying about C21. We have much bigger things to focus on right now. Same goes with the broken stock crap on another thread. Yes I know we should of been warned but they too said they were not informed until sometime in Oct and it is fixed now. So moving on.

It always amazes me how people give firearms retailers a free pass just because they're firearms retailers. The duty of care should be HIGHER because of what they're dealing with. I don't think many people would have had that much of an issue with it if they had been open and honest about it. But instead they kept it quiet until they got called out on it and gave a half assed apology, and never stopped taking orders because they cared more about profits than their customer base.

already dealt with cc fraud due to them

looks like everyone who shopped with a cc got ####ed

Any one have an issue with Latiluppe in Quebec. They have a few items at a good price but never bought there before. Kind of paranoid after reading this. PM me if you don't want to post on this thread.

A legit Walmart Mastercard showed up at my door. I called Walmart financial to cancel and they said there was already an attempt on the card that they blocked (no idea how they get the card number). The lady on the phone was less than helpful, she couldn't tell me much info. I have called Transunion and Equifax to put fraud alerts on my credit profile.

They can clone cards via the magnetic strip I think
 
So far the purchase experience at FOC has been quite bad.

I purchased from Tenda about 2 weeks after I purchased from FOC. Tenda sent me the reference number right away, but I had to track down someone at FOC to get one, and the reference number is higher than the one Tenda gave me. This means FOC sat on my order for more than 2 weeks.

Then I got my credit card compromised. No money was lost but it cost me time having to call my bank, Apple support, pick up the replacement card and having to update all my subscriptions.

Tenda's transfer came through first, they shipped the day I received RCMP's email. It's been a week since FOC's transfer went through, but it's not shipped, yet.
 
Interesting you should mention this. I also purchased two things from FOC (two separate orders) in November, and a week or two later my card was also compromised.

PSA - never store your credit card details on any website as any system is vulnerable to attack and compromise.
Use different passwords for all the different sites you visit, and use a password manager like BitWarden (my personal favorite) to help you generate and remember passwords for various sites and to keep confidential notes locked behind a password.

I haven't heard of the issue being resolved yet, but with this many people coming forward, I imagine they know very well that something happened.
 
Sitting on hold right now with my cc company. Bought from FOC on 26 Oct. Got a text last night for my first ever cc fraud notification. 482.89 at VF Outdoor Co. and another 400 at Walmart.

When are the police going to get the little pri$k who is living the life on fraud ? How high up does this go, has FOC made any statement at all ?
