I have an older Bausch and Laumb Elite on a lightweight 338 wm rifle. Surprisingly good glass and it’s hard to find scopes that fit the action of the rifle.

The focus adjustment ring has a tendency to move after a few shots and put it slightly out of focus. Still usable but kind of annoying as you can surely imagine.

I think I am going to try wrapping it in electric tape and seeing if that helps? I don’t know how well that will work.

Considered potentially using super glue? Kind of means it has to stay on this gun in this position for life though and I’m not sure I will be able to get it “just right”.

Any other suggestions?

Liquid electrical tape is commonly used for setting the focus on drone cameras. It can easily be removed and you get a few minutes to set things.

So I’m just a dumbass and I wasn’t adjusting it correctly. I was moving the locking ring because I thought it was a focus ring when I should have been moving the rear bell and screwing the lock ring in to keep it tight. Serves me right for being young and familiar with more modern scopes. Glass is better than I thought lol
