Fogducker to take up knitting instead of Hunting

I was at Fogducker’s this weekend, having a few beers with him and dumbdawg and his son and asked him what his plans were for this year’s moose hunt. He told us that he didn’t know if he was up to it because of his little problem with gout. He was whinning about the pain he was in for the 2 weeks after he gets back from the long trip.

I suggested to him that maybe he should join a knitting club with the nice ladies in the old age home down the street. But then again, I’m sure his gout would bother him there as well.

WTF fogducker? You wouldn’t last one night with those ladies, they would throw your sorry ass out and then drink your beer, if they heard half the whinning I heard on the weekend!

I had a quick look at wiki to see what gout was, seeing I'm a healthy young buck still.:p

I don't know Fogducker, but is he between 50-60, chubby, enjoy a diet rich in protein, and like the sauce a bit much?? These were supposed to be factors of gout...sounds like livin' well!! :p
 
Gout can be brought on by drinking alcohol, eating organ meats, eating shellfish, eating rich foods, etc, etc ......

I rarely do any of these, and don't drink at all, and yet I get gout in my hand. It is nothing to sneeze at and hurts ALOT. I pity people that get it in their feet.

Gout used to be "resereved" for royalty, who would each rich food, with lots of red wine. Your doctor has medication for it.
 
Knitting is actually a great way to practice sitting still and on paying attention to detail :D - both factors important in big game hunting!
 
Snowhunter is right, go to a doctor and get some pills instead of suffering needlessly.

Then your buddies wont have to bust your balls, AND you can go hunting without hurting.

I get, and am just getting over, gout in my left big toe, and in my right ancle. There is nothing as debilitating as gout in your feet. You can't tough them, they are HOT to the touch, loose socks are hit and miss, a shoe is near impossible, and work boots are abso####inglootly out of the question.
There are a whole variety of foods that can cause gout...pretty much everything that tastes good, is fattening or intoxicating.
