Folding Shotgun Question

I am currently looking to get a new single shot shotgun and noticed that most new models fold in half at the hinge.
This gun will be used in thick brush for grouse and rabbit hunting.
My concern is that the barrel may catch on brush and fold causing a pinch point at the trigger.

Do you guys know if the guns require a lot of force to fold or is there an extra step to completely fold them?
I haven't yet had a chance to go to the gun shop but figured I would get input in advance.

It only folds If the action is open. They lock closed and require moving a lever to open them.

I understand that it only folds if the action is open.
My concern was of it folding when walking with the action open.

It's break action gun. You break the action to load/unload and you close/lock the action if you want to fire the gun. It breaks open with a lever as Suther said.
