Folding Stock who knows???

I purchased this folding stock at an auction but can not figure out what it came off of please help.

It looks very much like a REMINGTON POLICE FOLDING SHOTGUN STOCK minus the pistol grip. If you look at it from the bottom you should see 3 or 4 rather large lightening holes on a Remington stock. I believe the stock that you have bolts to the shotgun frame and the pistol grip bolts to the bottom of the stock. I don't have a Remington folding stock, so I am just guessing from pictures that I have seen.

Not for a remington I own one and no way will it fit if you look in the 2nd picture the shape of the stock mount to the gun is square and remington has an oval mount....

Are the side arms of the stock metal or plastic? Also the pistol grip is not there so who knows how it is connected to the receiver. The most popular top folding stocks are Remington police top folder, ATI top folder made with adapters that fit most shotguns depending on adapter used and Choate top folder.

It does look like an older 870 variant.
