i've found that all folding stocks have only two purposes- to allow the firearm to fit in tight quarters- or firing from the hip- your fixed stock is always quicker to deploy as there's no button to push, nothing to swing , and then mount- the fixed mounts right away- and they can be brutal on recoil as there's only a steel rod and possibly a recoil pad between you and the gun
at 40 bucks i call junk-all of mine were at least double that- unless it's a 22 - and i have 3- one on a winny 12 defender,( choate) a 10/22( butler creek) and a m14( beretta folder- the one springfield copied for the m1a1a bush rifle)- i got the 22 with the gun, the 12 guage was 80 at the time-'83- and the beretta was about 200

I went to the site, the $49 folding stock is an ATI stock and not thought to be as strong as Choate or Butler Creek stocks. The prices indicate it may be an American company,but nowhere could I find an address so how would you contact them if they don't answer your emails if there is a problem. Also if it does come from the U.S., there maybe a higher shipping rate and possibly Canada customs duty. Wholesalesports.com, sirmailorder.com ,russellsports.com, and some of the sponsors at the top of the page handle Butler Creek folding stocks, which are a reasonable stock. You didn't say what make of shotgun you have, but a 12gauge stock for a Remington 870 can be made to fit a 20 gauge with some minor filing on the stock, and the stock will be a couple of thou wider than than the factory stock. The 20 gauge usually has a narrower frame than the 12 gauge(depending on brand) but the length and height of the frame are usually very close to the same.
