looked through the scope and wow- i have leupolds and a zeiss conquest and this scope blows them away - it a Dural- Dialytan 4x - made in germany .
over all it felt good looked good and should be fun to shoot - and price was right .
not sure of who made it are where it came from just built on 98 muaser- stamped on barrel and action and saftey all match if that means anything .

That is just about the neatest thing I've seen in some time.

It screams old German - the set trigger, the butterknife handle, that crazy Euro scope setup - somewhere in its history, some old fellow came to your neck of the woods from Germany and brought that with him, perhaps to hunt "der mighty elch"...

Helluva score, and high style indeed, mate. Well done.

Dan

the scope is crazy looking...never seen anything like it. Could you get some closer pics of the actual scope and the mounts?

You need info? How about my mailing address instead!
That is a sweet rig.
There are many different outfits that made similar ones before and after the second war. Hard to say who made it without finding an actual name on it.

Congrats on the new toy.

Now doesn't that look and feel better than one of those modern plastic fantastics.
That is a very nice purchase that will afford you decades of pleasure and a lifetime of pride, and a marvelous conversation starter.
Would you please post the results of your sighting-in session after you have been to the range.

More i handle it more i like it - look forward to shooting it- will post reulst when get time to do it.
amazing thing is it cost just a bit more then a plastic tikka and it came wit ha scope. time i put on a scope on a tikka i would ahve payed more for the tikka .

Hard to say, there is a very small following to the old school scopes here. Maybe the AR or the campfire will get you faster results.

I know my Zeiss 4X that came with my Brno is very clear too, just not as ###y as yours. They sure mounted them high! No worry of getting a bruised face shooting that one. Watch out for the cookie cutter tho. With no "cheek weld" to the stock it is really a challenge to roll back with the recoil. In my experience with high scopes anyway.

Typical european mount. They always shot with their heads up, not with the check welded to the stock in the NA style. Lovely rifle there!

Beautifull rifle. Is it for sale? Would it ever look nice with a set of claw mounts.
