LOL, Yeah I'd like to see that too :D I fire 1 3" magnum turkey load from my Mossberg & my shoulder is already sore. I fired 8 through it once to pattern it, & my shoulder was so sore I couldn't bring myself to fire one more that day.

"For those who live in fear of bears"
Ah memories.
I had a girl working for me, I think she was about 23. She carried a bear whistle with her at all times, even shopping downtown.
Anyway, some time after the other girls wormed out of her what the whistle was for, I had a visitor to the grounds, the local police dept had a bear hunt in the bush at the South end of the grounds. I took one of the officers through the bush, but that's another story.
He left nice black turds full of berry seeds.
I had to explain to the staff what to do if they met a bear, yada yada.
She says "Don't even kidd about something like that"
I said 'I'm not kidding". I thought she was gonna pass out.
I took the staff for a tour, and showed them the foot print in the flowerbed, and the bear turds.
I promissed faithfully as a hunter, to watch over them.
We got a bear trap from the city in the bush at the back of the property.
By the end of the summer, after several lectures, she no longer carried the bear whistle, it was a positive experience, and I hope, I even made a convert. She was getting interested in hunting.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make an effective slug out of a rolled up ministry pamphlet - you know the ones from ontario explaining bear attacks are rare and if you see one who you should call. I'd like to shoot a bear with that. Cold steel is fine, but the hot irony appeals to me. :D

Ok, so I should have modified that, the bear left the turds, not the officer, although he admitted he wasn't a hunter, and the 40 SW did seem kinda small, although he proclaimed that he was "a good shot". He'd never tried it on a running bear. :D

well you never can say - there was that manitoba cop who dropped a blackie on the charge with a 9 mill - two rounds right in the noggin, only shots fired and the bear had already killed one person.

That ain't so bad :) Some cops can shoot.

Yes, but how did you do with her?

This sounds like a Gatehouse story, except I know how it would end in that case!
