For all you Military Veterans I have a bayonet question

Some even went a step further and spitshone the FN mags for show.
Which brings an interesting aside. Guys always get slagged if they use some oil or finish on thier milsurps other than what is thought to be standard issue at the time. When I was in Petawawa a very long time ago, the Canadian Guards (remeber them?) were knowen to use floor wax on the rifle furniture on special parades. Anything goes when the RSM says it goes. God has decreed :)

the bayonet you have is not from the CF contract, most likely it was a dealer sample, private purchase , or OPP. contract.
I'm thinking private purchase as Canadian Arsenals sold FN and Sterlings commercially for a number of years .

The thing is that the bayonet was purchased from a military member who said they got it from the military. Though it could be possible to be a civilian produced one (though if it was why would it have C1 on it?). That is another avenue to look into.
