For anyone who says savage can't shoot!

It is actually unusual today to find an inaccurate sporting rifle. regardless of manufacturer.

I have many rifles, and I am fussy about accuracy. They all meet my criteria, or I will not keep them.

Any I have sold of late are not lacking in accuracy, most likely replaced by something more pleasant to look at and carry.

Remingtons, Vanguards, Rugers, Savages, Winchesters, Tikkas, Sakos, etc, etc....all shoot well.

Regards, Dave.

I have 2 Savage .223 rifles an 11 hunter in a factory wood stock and a 12 FV in a Boyd's stock.
Both are very accurate rifles.

12FV with a Bushnell 7 x 21 x 40 3200 scope.

.230" 4 group shot with 12FV @100 yards 168 grain Hornady match bullet CCI small rifle primer 25 Grains Varget.

11 Hunter with a bushnell 7 x 21 x 40 3200 scope.

In my opinion with Savages, reliability is the issue. Do a search and you will see tons of issues. Accuracy means squat if the rifle is not reliable, especially in less than desirable conditions. You do get what you pay for. Savages are cheap for a reason, I couldn't care less if they put them into one hole, an accurate rifle that's not reliable is useless. If my life or someone else's life is on the line, I'll stick with my AI, I wouldn't touch a Savage with a 10 ft pole. If you are happy with a Savage, that's great because a lot of guys shoot them and are perfectly content.
