For People waiting on there PAL

Hi

sometimes they get large volumes of students to process & do their checks on - so patience - not uncommon to take 3 months
in ontario but is usually a bit faster. If you have sent away to new brunswick with the brown envelope make sure you sent all
of the following completely filled out.
1)the $60.00(nr) or $ 80.00(nr & r), or $20.00(r) cheque ,or money order - no cash
2)the passport quality picture with guarantor signed off on the back,
3) 1 copy of cfsc or cfrsc proof of passing, & marked with a stamped seal of approval mailed back to you in white envelope.
(2nd copy = your records)
4)new firearms form for new brunswick filled out completely & included with the rest

Hi duron111,

For the CFSC (CCSMAF, in French), you only receive a card from Sécurité Nature (Fédération Québécoise des chasseurs et pêcheurs). You must send a signed photocopy of both sides of the card when you apply. You don't receive your results for the CFSC.

For the CRFSC (CCSMAFAR), you receive a brown document and a card from the Fédération Québécoise de Tir, as well as your results. I joined a signed photocopy of the card from the FQT, and the CRFSC results (the original document).

Hope this helps.

Correct me if i'm wrong but they calculate "work days" right ? So when they say 90 days it's actually a lot longer :(

if so i'm only 9 days in the process... so demoralizing :(

Well I thought I would update everyone on my journey.... my license was issued on January 15th!!

I sent my application in early October, about 8 weeks later I called in asking if there was anything holding the application up and they informed me that I had missed a signature and would be sending me a letter to have signed by the proper person etc. (missed the signature for the photo witness). I got that all done and sent it back within a couple weeks. Did my phone interview the second week of January, checked my mail yesterday and there it was.

Overall, compared to some of the stories I have heard I would say I got mine pretty quick given the fact that I had to resend some documentation.

Now its time to go shopping!!

Happy shooting Canada
