Our daughter's name is Victoria. For years she grew up with the portrait of HM Queen Victoria's picture in its place of honour on the head wall in the dining room. One day she asked who that was. "Queen Victoria" we answered, "and you are named after her". Now Queen Victoria was a most revered British monarch but not much of a looker. It seems our daughter didn't quite see herself being named after HM the way we intended and to this day she hasn't quite gotten over it.
