For the love of God..stop stippling your Glocks!

Before its locked, are some glocks made outta gold????

I see em on EE for $1200-$1400-$1100????

Why for a gun thats $900 max nd thats high

Problem with stippling a glock is it weakens and if not damages the frame.

This is what I have always wondered. Number 1, you are applying a very intense heat to the plastic...sometimes with plastics this can make them more brittle. Number 2, you are altering the physical structure of the gun, if ever so slightly.

My guess is that these frames are engineered a particular way in order to maximize strength. Not really something I want to be altering by changing the configuration of or removing material from.

You may have a point, but - I have yet to see a "stippling induced frame failure."

This leads me to believe that these failures are either very rare, or non-existent.

What baffles me are the people that complain that RTF2 is too aggressive, but somehow some of these same people find stippling acceptable??

I personally read every thread you make since you have awesome guns.

May have to break out the camera tonight then for a new thread in that case. :D

Thanks for the kind words though, much appreciated.

People who stipple guns need to invest in skateboard tape - simply wrap the tape around your hands so you can't hold a soldering iron.

lol. I have some stippled guns and while I think they look super cool, I duno if its really any better than skate tape.

Or the gun owners from the guys that saw it on youtube and got bored so they stippled their 100 rounds a month glock

That does happen for sure, although they're usually obvious in these threads as part of the "gun owner" camp.

"don't hate, its' my gun and it looks awesome + i get wicked grip" = youtube commando

"You're ruining your gun and you have no respect for your possessions" = old man yells at cloud

"I found solvents turned skateboard tape to gum, so this is a better solution for me" = congratulations, you're a shooter
