ICORE (the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts) puts on a yearly revolver-only match, and this year's is supposed to be in California; they've got the stages posted at http://www.icore.org/IRC_2007/IRCstages.pdf , and they look like a real challenge (two aren't posted; they're supposed to be "surprise" ICS stages)

Um, it's been in California as long as I can remember and then it was there before I could remember too 
It's a really friendly match. Morro Bay is a great place to stay and there are other things you can go explore (like Hearst Castle to the north) if you want to be a tourist.
I'm heading there for my 3rd ICORE this year and I haven't decided if I'm shooting the 6 or 8 shooter yet. Possibly the 8 shooter. Last year we had a real treat in that Rob Leatham and Taran Butler crossed over to the dark side and shot the match. Robbie was 30 seconds behind Jerry M. It's a bit different scoring being time plus. Most people who fly, tend to fly into San Francisco, but I think some people have flown into one of the other smaller regional airports. It's about a 5 hour drive for me from where I live (Near SF) but then I usually haul a trailer down there.
