Looking for a favorite load for this particular rifle. Granted, every rifle has its own distinct personality, but am looking to expand my loadings.

I am currently running 21.5 IMR 4198 w/CCI small rifle primer @ Reminton Bulk 55 gr PSP's. A laser, but not the exploding varmit round I am looking for.

Suggestions?

Varget, Benchmark, RL 15 or RL 7 with CCI BR4 or CCI 450 Magnum primers with 40-55grn Hornady V-Max, Nosler Ballistic Tip or Sierra BlitzKing Bullets.

Check your manuals for proper starting and max loads.

My stevens love 24,5 gr Bl-C2, Hornady 75gr A-Max, Federal Match primer, loaded .015" to the lands. They obviously don't fit the mag but I load one at a time anyway so it is not big deal.

I tried near maximum loads of H335 behind barnes 70gr tsx, but they keholed. 1/9 twist is what the rifle has and what's recommended. What am I doing wrong?

On the other hand 55 gr vmax and sp with 24 gr imr4064 work like a charm.

Guys, I use 75gr Hornady AMAX with great success. The thing I noticed though is, when loaded to Min OAL they where not so accurate. So I went to .015 to the lands and 3/8 MOA in My Stevens. The loaded cartridge don't fit the mag but if you really wanna shoot 75 grainer it's a sacrifice to make.

1 in 9 is fast enough to stabilize up to 75 Gr easy. Unless they are pretty freakin long..

Cheers
