The Warbird produces results very similar to the 300 RUM and 30-378 Weatherby. Also like those rifles you need 28 to 30" of barrel to take advantage of the amount of powder they burn. All three have relatively short barrel life and in the case of the Lazzorni some of their ammo is over 75,000 PSI to get their published velocities. That is quite a good deal more pressure than I want to be putting on any gun on a regular basis, no matter how well it is made.

Ya, running pressure like that doesn't really make a lot of sense. I just remember it was a pretty hot number, back when "beanfield" rifles were all the rage according to the gun writers.
Like I said, never actually came across a real one so kinda forgot about it for 20 yrs... Is Lazeronni still in business?
