For those of you in your right mind.

First off, my range is snowed in so I don't have anywhere to shoot. I'd love to do some shooting in the winter months, but here in NB we are required to shoot at a range out of hunting season. Bummer.

Secondly, there are a few lefties here that I like prod a bit about their condition. On the other hand I don't generally make fun of bald people. God might smote me some night and I may wake up and find all my hair left behind on the pillow. My humour is a bit off the wall sometimes, so that how it manifests itself sometimes. :p

Can I safely assume you are a lefty as well? <next victim please!> :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

.

God made a few purfect heads .. the rest he put hair on !!!!

I saw the title of this post and figured it wasn't for me, then I got curious as to what kind of posts people in their right mind write and read. After looking at the photo, I must conclude that I'm obviously out of my mind.

I like that Featherweight-ish barrel contour with a longer shank....looks good.

What stock is that?....what does it weigh and how does it shoot?

It's a LH Echols Legend in .270 Win. They weigh in at right around 8lbs. The LH McMillan stock was a long time coming and then he insisted on building a correctly dimensioned magazine box for the standard cartridges in a Classic (he builds the RH 06 based rounds in pre 64's). I didn't ask if this is the first so configured but am pretty sure that it is.

Pretty rifle, and since i am the only right handed one of 3 siblings, i will say it has the handle on the right side. Then again, my father spent alot of time in the presence of radiation when my siblings were concieved, so maybe i am wrong.

Sad but true Supercub-both a leftie and right minded. It is my cross to bear. Fortunately the gunmakers have finally catered to us and it is as easy to spend horrid amounts of cash on leftie rifles as it is for righties. Then again we are all part of the same experiment eh? There is no right or wrong, it just has to work. And then there are the Savage 99s that are friendly to everyone. I have a couple of those too plus a couple of Winnie levers. We are all bitten by the same bug tho. Take care. Cmon out here -range is warm and dry-no snow and about 12deg right now. Might take my ambidextrous Browning BPS Trap out and scare some clay pigeons too. Luv my guns whatever form they take.

No problem getting lefties now-Reliable here in Vancouver is actually stocking CZ452 leftie and P&D had some leftie Tikkas in 223 when I was looking for one too. I got a leftie CZ527 223 in 3 days here in Van at Reliable and Wholesale stocks some stuff too. FYI Ruger, Tikka, and CZ are all fairly easy to get lefties and there are ambidextrous guns like the Savage 99 leverguns and Browning BPS pump shotguns. They are tang safety guns and could care less if you are left or right handed. Then theres all the lever stuff out there too so it is not a small field any more-certainly not like in the 60s when I started buying guns. Nuthin available then let me tell you. I would be happy to take a trip out to the range to entertain another leftie any time. You could shoot 8 different guns and do so all day long. I think theres at least a leftie 243 and 308 on the EE right now.

Find me a LH Model 70.

I'm sure a stupid question will draw a stupid answer lol, but why don't gun companies make a certain percentage of all their guns left handed ? Is it all to do with production costs compared to profit and such ?
I'm right handed, so it doesn't really apply to me, but I know quite a few lefties that shoot right-handed guns and it just doesn't even look right... there's no way it's comfortable to operate.

Well Chuck, I have never heard of a leftie 70 so that may be a trick. However I checked only 2 sites in the above sponsors. Reliable has a leftie ABolt Medallion in 270. P&D has leftie Tikkas, Savages, Remingtons, and a Ruger 77mk II in 270, 308, 30-06, 7mm Rem Mag. Then theres at least 2 lefties on the EE at this time and I think one is a 243. Be fussy if you want but there are good leftie guns out there and I only checked 2 sites. Get a Savage 99 and you can go 300 Savage, 308, 243, 250-3000 and I have a vintage 1900 Winnie 1894 in 38-55. Get some shooting done eh? CZ makes them too.
