For those that think bolt actions are too slow

Longwalker.....WOW......that's awesome!! Great to see how things are done in different parts of the world compared to our little shang ri la......Thanks for letting us see how others get ta have some fun!!..Congrats on your boar!!

That guy sure knows what he is doing. I practiced a lot of quick two shot sequences with my Sako AV 300 win mag before I went to Africa off shooting sticks without taking the gun off my shoulder. I got pretty good at hitting the 200 metre chicken at the Ft McMurray range, but nothing like that.

It's a rare thing to see anyone practice second shots with a bolt, but twice out of seven animals I had let a second one fly before my PH told me to, both times resulting in a quick kill.

Waiting for the holier then thou "I never shoot at a running animal" guys to get in here and tell us all about how its too big of a risk and that just because they dont do it no one should.

That really is quite stupid, and shows a complete failure to understand some basic facts about shooting game.

Objections to running, long, or whatever, shots do not come from the fact it is running or long or whatever. Objections come from the fact you should not take shots you can't make. If you can't hit running game, the ethical thing is to not shoot at it. If the shot is too long for you to make, don't take it. It's quite simple really. Try to understand, and not be so paranoid.

Those shots are actually quite short. He can make them. Obviously, he can make them a LOT of the time. If anyone can shoot with that consistency, it is perfectly ethical for him to take those shots.

How many on this board can actually say they can shoot like that? I can't. He is a very exceptional shot.

The range looks to be quite short, which is an entirely different situation from having some clown flinging shot after shot at a deer running 400 yards away.

Longwalker, thanks for these amazing pics. Please post more on the hunting forum.

I love the way Germans displays the harvested animals after a hunt, classy.

Haaa haaa haa you guys are going to hate me = I can shoot like that... :p

Pfff.. Me too but only with my Sauer. ;)

And yes they come with a detachable magazine.

Im not being paranoid. Ive seen many times on this board guys throw fellow hunters under the bus for taking shots on running game. Some have said their is NO circumstance where it should be done.

Anywho, buddy in the video is a fantastic shot.

Think he could always shoot like that???? That takes practice..Lots of it..

Hogs top out at 30mph...Probably run 20-25 more realistically. They also run level unlike a deer that runs 40-45mph, and take 10ft + bounds..I don't feel they would be very hard to hit consistently.
