This is my Christmas gift to myself from myself, a Luxus Arms chambered for the 308 Winchester. Beautiful lines on this rifle along with everything else, fit and finish and balance. The only thing left is function and accuracy, I can't wait to start load development and get to the rifle range. This is the only firearm I can remember that fits me to a Tee.

You Sir know how to treat yourself. Beautiful! I can't tell from the picture on my iPad, is the receiver case hardened or blued?
It's blue which I do prefer. These photos don't really tell how this rifle looks. I love the dark rich colour of the wood along with the black recoil pad and matte bluing.

Pretty rifle! I also like the dark look of the wood and the bluing. Can you move the rings? Current position looks like it would be tough to get eye relief set.

Only accurate guns are interesting. Hope you find the new toy as interesting as it is beautiful. What caliber, and scope are you going with.

Don't leave us hanging...we need details not just rifle ####. LOL
It's chambered for the 308 Winchester with a 24 inch barrel. I was thinking of putting on a Leupold VX3 2.5x8x36 which would be ideal however my old eyes can't see as well at those small one inch bulls eye at 100, 200 and 300 meters. I will have to go with a higher magnification but don't know which one. This thing points like a dream and should fit me nice on the range and in the field.............can't wait to do both!

About the Leopold scope with your old eyes, why no go to a clearer glass and 30mm tube, you should give Meopta Optics a look?
I am a long time Leopold optics user, and I am replacing most of mine with Meopta scopes, same price point or less than an Leopold of equal value.
I had a good long look at these break action singles, they are the tops for that type of rifle, hope to have a hands on look at ShotShow !
Great rifle , have fun:)

The base is a one piece where the rings do not move, however I did put on a 2.5x10x50 Zeiss on it just to give it a try and it was perfect. With a leupold it generally gives a little better eye relief therefore I should be safe with relief. The dark wood is beautiful along with the grain.

I've been hearing great reviews regarding the Meopta and will take a look and compare them to leupold and zeiss for clarity and sharpness. I haven't settled as of yet which scope however I do need something with a 12 to 14 magnification. Thanks for the tip!

I was just checking out the Luxus website and noticed that the base price on the LT has gone from $3000 to $5000, quite the jump.
Those who are interested in these rifles would do well to snap up one from Clay for $3000, he has a very nice one in .308.
Hope someone buys it before I end up justifying it to myself. :)

Good looking gun. I was fortunate enough to shoot one of the deluxe models last year on a visit in the states, and found that I had to make a conscious effort to move my head back towards the butt before shooting, or else I would have been scope-bit. The model you have has the rear scope ring another inch or so further back than that gun did...I can't imagine shooting it comfortably. I do, however, have the neck of a giraffe and the arms of a gibbon.:)
