After two experiences using non bonded ballistic tips on deer I vow to never take them hunting again. This year a friend of mine used my rifle to shoot a mulie at about 30 yards. 7mm 140 grain nosler B-tip going at about 2900 fps. The shot was placed well right into the boiler room and not at all close to the guts. The bullet pretty much exploded and a fragment went stright sideways into the gut cavity and gut juice leaked everywhere despite a perfect shot. Accubonds or TTSXs are the only b-tip bullets I would consider.
