Well, this is just a dream, but the Wes Adams collection is coming up for auction at James D Julia this March. This is just fantasy stuff for me, but still nice to look at and dream. The Lotto 649 commercial says everyone has a dream, well, just to own one of these Winchesters from Adams collection would be a dream. He had some extraordinary Marlins too. Adams owned the finest Winchester collection in the past 50 years Not sure if his Savage collection is coming up here too, or maybe that went elsewhere but that is / was something to behold as well I understand.
Sure nice to see what some of these classics looked like coming out of the factory, to those with deep pockets even at that time.
Enjoy:

Nice to see his widow took his collection to a prestigious auction site, ensuring she gets fair market value. I bet the widow rapers aka Winchester wheelers and dealers are crying the f**king blues:D

She'll get fair market value, but my understanding is given the money he dropped on some of these guns just to ensure he got them - she may not get all back he put into them. Still be a windfall. Boy, I sure would like to be a fly on the wall there. What an incredible collection this gentleman had. What enjoyment he must have had from them.

Incredible. What are the flip-up gizmos on the top side of the pistol grips? Super long-range sights? Thanks!

Those would be tang sights, I.E. Lyman and Marbles. Nice addition to an old lever gun. Better accuracy, I enjoy shooting with them.

I'm not a lever guy, but when it comes to quality you have my attention. Many beautiful pieces!!!

Doesn't it almost make you want to convert? ;)

Yeah, some awesome pieces eh? I have some nice old levers myself, but this stuff is in a whole other ball league. Period. The stuff dreams are made of.

I wasn't overly excited until I saw that Gatling. How I wish I could have one of those.

And, of course, the double rifles and SxS shotguns. I have unnatural man love for the Westley Richards droplock .

Holy smokes!! i just had an HEAVENLY experience looking at those guns and knives!! new in box tommy gun from 1928..WTF!!

The NIB one is a West Hurley built Thompson from the 1970s-80s timeframe. They aren't quite as desirable as the originals made by Colt or Auto Ordnance in Bridgeport.
