For those with jamming Remington 597 VTR 22lr

I bought 2 of these recently. One worked flawlessly while the other jammed steady.First thing I did was clean both and adjust/dry lube the guide rods but one still jammed steady. After doing some research I installed a Volquartson extrator and it hasn't jammed since. Incidentally these are very accurate semi 22s.

Another thing you may want to read up on is the problem with guide rods being to tight from the factory. It is very easily rectified. Glad the extractor worked for you. And I totally agree, very accurate rifle out of the box.
