I pulled this stock off a bubba'd enfield No4 I picked up on the cheap. I've searched the usuals (303british.com, among others) to identify the markings, other than the S in the box for Savage I can't find anything. There is a 3rd T stamped in just out of frame.

I added a shot of the markings on the side of the buttstock, which I have no luck finding info on.

any thoughts?

I'm truly lost on this, I even check some old books I have, and I still have no idea. I'm surprised that some of our rez' Enfield folks don't know. :D

Robobogner, you take a fine picture. Seems to me that CAS is Century Arms. Mind you, I'm guessing. Nip over to the Enfield forum at Jouster.com(add the www's) for confirmation. Check the headspace just the same. Century is notorious for assembling Lee-Enfields out of parts bins with zero QC.

Thanks, Canon A540 , decent camera for the buck.

As for the butt, it definetly was slapped on the No4 later on as it did not match it at all. That said, it is now wearing a full british original wood set and shoots awesome.

Thanks for the link, i'll check out Jouster - you really think those are Century markings? Butchers! hehe :p
