Planning on getting one of the 12.5" grizz mag's coming in soon, but not really a fan of how close my hand would be to the end of the barrel.

I saw a pic of a (foregrip the proper name?) that has a bulge at the end to stop your hand from slipping past.
Going of the idea that the grizz's are based off the rem 870, would one for a rem 870 fit?

Where could i get one? price idea? I gotta start budgeting!

rob350, I'm in the same boat. Planning on getting a 12.5 when CanAm gets them back in stock, but really like the forend (forgrip) of the 8.5. As I began looking, I was suprised to see lots of replacement forends, but none with a hand stop (handguard?).

There's these:

But I don't want the light, just the bulge (yes, "that's what she said"...)

I'm actually thinking "How hard could it be to make one?.." Haha.

If you end up not being able to pick up a Remington MCS, you could always pick up a railed forend and add a handstop from Larue. I think Magpul makes a handstop as well. As seen here (9th post from the top) h ttp://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?p=770236#post770236

Thanks for the info guys.

I hear ya, i would like a flashlight but at this point in time im not spending $300+ for it and the hand guard.
Also, the MCS remington sounds like he paid over $100 for it, not worth it to me.

Im thinking about a front pistol grip, that would work. Have heard guys talked about a front pistol grip handle being odd to use, any comments on it?

I too dont get why more company's would not make one with a handstop, that would make it easier to "pump" it in the event of evening getting hit in the hand right, along with bumping up safety and control right?

ADK, i have thought about the railed idea, did not know they made "hand stop" attachments for them.
Cool idea, may end up having to go that route.

The railed forend route with handstop will probably cost you a bit more than the MCS forend though, brand new at least. But if you check the EE here you will eventually find what you want, used. Lots of parts to be had in the parts and bits sub-forum as well as the tactical sub-forum.

i have a metal handstop on an 870 police magnum 14 inch barrel. it came with the gun .i have made them up in a machine shop out of scraps of stainless steel but this factory piece is better as it has a ball detent to secure the mag cap .it fits the end of the mag tube .you just unscrew the mag cap and pop it on .
