Forgot shotgun wads at home.

So there I was ready to do some black powder shotgun shooting and no wads. There just happened to be some local wasp nest's near by and empty of residents. I read about using nests but never tried it before. They work grreat. #6 shot , 9 pellets of 00Buck, and .690 round balls all shot good with wasps nest.

Wadded up glossy magazine pages work too. Newspaper also but it tends to occasionally start fires!

Some wasp nest material underneath the paper helps to keep down the firestarting.
