I thought "SAR" was "semi-auto rifle" (civilian), while "TAR" was "tactical assault rifle" (Mil/LE).

The Tavor has a bunch of these acronyms; SAR/TAR/CTAR/GTAR/MTAR/STAR...

Yes, the SL8-4 is my preference as well. Some of these were just brought in recently, but they were indeed pricey...
