So here is my dilemma, I have a good quantity of .308win Norma brass laying around and no gun in .308 but I have a 6.5 creedmoor rifle on the way.

6.5 CM ammo is hard to find at the moment but this is no big issue because I reload. So should I take on the project of forming 6.5 brass from .308? I don't really have tools for this project, no case neck turning tool, just a set of 6.5 CM dies...

Also, if I sell my once fired .308 win Norma brass, what would be a fair price?

Thanks

From what I've found so far on the net, yes it would be easier to form from 22-250 but I don't have any 22-250 brass and a lot of .308 and it can be done with it...But is it worth the time and equipment required to do that?

Yes, 6.5 Creeds parent is the 30 Thompson Center.

I've had no trouble sourcing 6.5 Creed brass (Hornady) and now Nosler is producing it as well.

It's one thing if you are necking down a 308 for 7.08, something else (at least for me) if you have to start really messing with the case.

I ran a few 308 pieces through a creed FL die. Took it slow, sized a bit, lowered ram sized a bit. Came out looking not too bad, the neck is wayyy too long, and I think neck turning would be a must but I didn't measure the necks.

It can be done. but jamming a 22 250 case into a fl die to open the neck up, then just shooting it was wayy easier.

Well...I guess I'll sell my .308 brass to buy new 6.5 CM brass, there is no point buying another caliber brass to form to 6.5, the idea was to use the brass I already have....

What would be a fair price for once fired .308win Norma brass?
