has anyone had experience with this? I may go to South Carolina and shoot a club match while I am there....but I may need to add a pistol or two to my list. Can I add a pistol to my form 6? Or do I need to reapply???

Whenever I have added guns to my Form6 I've submitted a new application. If you fax it in, there is generally a fairly quick turnaround, even more so after you've submitted a previous one for that year.

I don't know of any other way to add guns.

Brad.

Yup, resubmit. It'll still take 4-5 weeks though based on my experience.

'Just got mine last month... Ten days from me faxing to me finding it in my mailbox.
In the past I've never waited more than couple o' three weeks.

Call them direct, tell them the situation and sweet talk them a little. You will probably have to fax them a new form but they may expidite it for you. Worked for me once. Had it by he end of the day ;).

you'll need to re-apply...i just got mine back it took 5 days... don't forget to check if you need get a new border ATT. In Ontario our border ATT's are tied in with our Form 6.

Here's a link to a fillable Form 6NIA pdf. http://www.atf.gov/forms/pdfs/f53303d.pdf just type out your info and print then fax to (304) 616-4551

hope this helps

Pretty much the same. Longest wait we have had was 5 days. Have found
that a follow up call on day three never hurts, they are a decent bunch to
deal with. As well a quick fax or e-mail to Carrie or Andre in Orillia will fix
your border ATT in an hour or so.

Resubmit

I called them and advised them that I just needed to add ammo on my list as I got my form 6 approved but forgot to add what kind and quantity of ammo.

I was advised to resubmit.

Have added another 'toy' to my list and resubmitted again.

I have 3 form 6's sitting around from last year !

Doesnt make sense but that's the only way.

Make sure you bring the invitation to shoot in the US with you when you cross into the US.

PS my ATT does cover transport up to a Canadian/US border.

Good Luck.

I have a North Dakota hunting license, I have been told i don't need an invite. I will probably only be participating in a level 2 match.

you westerners have cool CFO's... here in Ontario we need separate ATT for border and it's tied into form 6NIA... and we have to request specific points but aren't limited... so I put them all on including airports just incase...

If you have a hunting license you are good for multiple crossing an invitation is good supporting document but shouldn't be only document when applying for Form6... they'll limit your time for the duration of the match only.... hunting license will give you exception for the valid period of the license... i get 1 yr from Alaska so my form 6 is good for that time and ATT is valid for same period of Form 6... so Every December I renew...

At some time someone in Ontario is going to have to challenge the CFO in Ontario using the Charter as a claim that C 68 is not being applied equally for all Canadians. What you guys go through is nonsense in the extreme.

Love the folks in Ontario but I wouldn't move back there on a bet.

Take Care

Bob

use the hinting license to get the form 6, but make sure you have an invite to the match you're going to that day if that's what your going over for. A form 6 DOES NOT guarantee entry, it just allows the guns to enter with you IF they let you in.

Do you guys take everything listed on a Form 6 across the border, or can you take "some" of the firearms and "some' of the ammunition listed across. I am planning a trip and a little bit confused about what I want to take, let alone what I need to list.
