Form 6 problems

So...for 3 years now the ATF has approved my renewal within days, but I haven't gotten the email. After a couple weeks each time, I call them and get told that it was approved, yet no email arrives. I confirm with them every time and my email address is correct each time they read it back.

Has anyone else had this problem? It's getting quite annoying
 
Matt check your junk mail. Mine has always been blocked by my spam blocker for some reason. If it isn't there get hold of your internet provider and have them adjust their blocker to allow the emails to come through. It has happened to me the last two years.

Not sure that's the problem Bob....no emails arrive anywhere, but when I call them to resend it, then they do. It's almost as if they send the original approved form to the email the have in their database, which may have a typo. But each time I've had them read back my email which is accurate. I always double check the email on my Form 6 before submitting it so I know that's not the problem.

Perhaps they are subtly saying, "look, you've had your fun, now stay out of our country"....

I dunno what could be going on with your approved F6 and the email thing... I received mine in very good time this year. 'Took only days.
Y'think they would snail mail it if you asked...?
 
I can't explain why you can't get your Form 6.

This year I faxed my form as per normal and when it did not come back in 30 days I called ATF. They said they could not find any record of my fax and said to e-mail the form. I scanned and e-mailed the form as per their request and had my approved Form 6 e-mailed to me in 8 days.

Overall the system worked reasonably well.

No that is not it. Why not just ask the ATF to mail it.

How would you know if your internet provider has their spam blocker set to high. I think it is worth a phone call. They can set the block to allow emails from the the ATF. Last year I had no idea when the email arrived from the ATF. I just opened up my Junk Mail file and there it was.

I phoned in a question about the form and a guy phoned me the next morning. I certainly got the impression allowing Canadians into the US to compete was not a problem for them.

had this problem with my form 6 last year. waited and waited and decided to call them. same issue, they had sent it and the email address was correct. gave them another email address. this was my work email and it came through.
used the work email to get this year's form 6 and no issue. worse case, get them to snail mail it to you.

What do you mean by "no longer welcome"..?

I don't think he was ever truely "welcome".

They probably let him in because of the company he keeps...

Don't worry Mat, if they don't approve your F6 you can still come to the matches and carry our gear... reset stages for us and be the DD...
 
Well...seeing as how you dont hit any targets, that might not be a problem....lol

Last year took me 5 weeks to get it. This year 5 days. I guess just have your buddies put your shotgun on their form6 and borrow an AR and pistol from them. Lmfao
 
They called me asking if I wanted one this year.
I reluctantly said ok.
They are giving them out like Halloween candy.

Onagoth, if you are having problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a form 6 ain't one.

I spoke with an ATF examiner by email, he mentioned that the examiners may be overlooking a number at the end of my email address, and that's why I'm not getting them. In each of the past three years this has happened, the actual approval was days after I submitted the renewal.

I may give a different email next year, one that is clearer.
