I almost feel a little silly asking this here, but its been bugging me.
A few weeks ago I was down at the local gun shop and got into a discussion with an older gentleman about reloading. At one point I was lamenting the shortage of .300 H&H brass. He told me in all seriousness that I should simply be able to neck up 7mm rem mag and fire form them with no troubles.
Now in my mind that case is to short to do that, but he said that it all irons out because of the long shoulder. And of course that he'd done it years ago.
I don't quite feel comfortable doing this my self, but wondered if it's possible. I figured someone here would know for sure.
Thanks in advance.
