Forming IDPA @ EESA

I am serious about bringing IDPA to EESA sometime in the near future.

Everything is still in the infancy stage, but if your interested, please send me a PM with your email address and I'll add it to the list. I'm sure there are some IDPA members at EESA that would appreciate a shorter drive to shoot the matches

I plan on presenting some of the startup costs to the Board at the next membership meeting (to at least get some practice nights going). But I am certain they will want to know the amount of interest there is before approving any purchases.

Once we have enough members interested, or some good groups of shooters showing up at practice nights, we can take it from there. I think once we start matches we may be short on SO's as well, so if your an IDPA member and would consider becoming an SO, let me know that as well.

Hey Onagoth. I would be available some Saturdays for IDPA at EESA, but weeknights is a bit much coming from the east GTA. I am an RSO, as well as a SASS RO. Good luck with it, let me know when you have an event.

Haven't tackled this yet, but I bet your right...scheduling would be something to work out.

BTT, still looking for interested shooters. Right now, there are about 10 of us on the mailing list.

Update:

I will be asking the board for approval to purchase some targets and pasters at the next membership meeting.

NSO courses (holster certifications) as well as safety officer courses are in the works.

Right now, we have about 18 people interested, which I think represents a fraction of the people who would be actually showing up for matches.
