Comes in both 9x17 and 9x18, DA/SA with a 123mm barrel.

Comes in 9x19, not sure about the trigger mech. (DA?), has a 108mm barrel.

And then they have three pistols specifically for IPSC.

All three come in 9x18 and SHOULD be Canada-legal (one of them, for sure, the other two just barely).

They are made by the Ukrainian company RPC FORT.

yeah! i'm reading a review of the fort 17 DA . 9x18 makarov is not my cup of tea,but they make some nice plastic pieces for sure.

it's also said that they had reliability problems but seems that they ruled out their theeting problems with the fort 17 . they're blowback action system i guess.

i was tempted to say they look like CZ or steyr, now i know why, they've got their machinery from CZ....i'd like to see one in real to make my mind on their crafting.....

...lolol..and their fort 12 with gold inlays look quite good and .....cheesy at best..

The FORT 17's barrel is too short for Canada, anyway.

EDIT: Apparently, they also have a contract with IWI to produce Tavors.

I was trying to find some info and found that Ukraine did the same mistake as Canada:

Moreover, Ukraine signed the OSCE document and thus assumed the obligation to mark exported small weapons, he said. According to military expert estimates, the fulfillment of this obligation will cost Ukraine $35 million in 10-15 years.

Stupid "UN marking" regulation... useless waste of money and resources, so some UN bureaucrat could show on paper that she did "something" to justify her pay.

The Ukraine isn't well known for its manufacturing expertise. Just saying.

Because people call it "russian" no matter where in USSR (or ex-USSR) it was made. For example, Russian space launchers are made in Ukraine, big chunk of airplanes made there too...

As for the military complex, they manufactured some machine guns for USSR (especially heavy ones for use in the vehicles), tanks, boats, etc. However, they don't bother with small markets a lot (military sales controlled by government for the most parts), but I scored a big shipment of nice ammo once from them.

Currently Ukraine is number 5 in world arm export, while Israel, China and Czech are not even in the top 10. However, maybe that's why Israel, China and Czech do bother with civilian sales.....
