I hoped to go to this one, but I had a busy weekend, so I missed it.
I see it was well covered by both our local papers. In fact, the Wed issue of Langley Times has a guy firing a flinter on the front cover.

The name given is Peter Stratford of the Victoria Voltigueurs. Anyone you know?
Also, in the same issue, on page 30 is more coverage of the entire event, including a photo of Cpl. McKenney (Tim Watkins) of the Royal EngineersLiving History Group firing an Enfield perc cap.

Had a great time! There were 27 camps. The Brigade Days were so different from rondies. The volunteers were motivated and enthusiastic. On the 4th there were 10,000 people through the gates. I think I must have talked to all of them

Once again, I thank you for featuring the various shooting sports in a positive light.
You have run several photographs and news articles lately in which firearms and air arms and the recreational users of them are featured.
From Modern Pentathlon competitor Monica Pinette representing Canada at the Beijing Olympics with her air pistol, to local elected officials taking part in the Canadian Fast Draw Championship event, it is nice to see the shooting sports in print. And today, I see two photos of the re-enactors with their muzzle loading guns at the BC 150 celebrations at Fort Langley.
All too often, when a gun is mentioned in a newspaper, it is for the wrong reasons. Understandable, of course, but the few thugs should not smear the good reputation of the many, many recreational sport shooters.

You were wise to grab some photos before the crowds overwhelmed you.
If I had come, I probably would have been in a pissy mood because of all the people in the frame, as I was trying to photo.
