Seriously though check the regs, with as much open big game/small game season as is available here I do not think you will miss murdering rodents too much. From aug 15 to december you can hunt everyday for some large beast or another. throw in Lynx, wolf, coyotes if you want to varmint hunt/call. Get yourself a couple LEH draws and you'd need to be pretty rich to afford the time off to do all the hunting that is available. I have'nt had time in the last 7 years to focus on it much (due to overlapping seasons) but there is some decent migratory bird action if you want something on the move to shoot at. Sharptails and Ruffies will also keep your moving target skills up.
Check the big game records of BC and you'll notice a heck of alot of entries that say the trophy is in a home in FSJ.
If you get up here and decide you really need to get the gophers out of your system I know at least one guy in town who will split gas with you to go for a weekend shoot in alberta.
Excellent range facilaties are 10 mins from town. The trap/skeet range must be world class with a full time caretaker and alot of manicured grass. Indoor/outdoor pistol and a 200 yd rifle complete with lifesize big game animals fitted with gongs. Very impressive Liscenced banquet hall on site for event/meeting rentals. IIRC family rate for the year is 65 bucks which includes all the rests,earplugs, staples and targets you can use in the 300 open days ayear. The only draw back is a stupid 2 elbows on the bench rule (benches are rickety as hell) and the frequency of brake equipped magnums under the roof.

They are. Especially on Friday night.right on thanks for the input i'm from van isle orginally so i've already got my bc hunter number the big plan on the change is to get away from working on the road so i have time to have a life again and to be near some family
