Looks like a brand-new gun, probably very close to what originals looked like coming off the line a century ago (give or take). All of those rifles are darkened with age, and it's wonderful to see a young one! Gives a much better idea of what they looked like when issued.

Some helpful tips I've gotten in PM's. Slings on wrong and the rear sight protector is on backwards. Yes I still need to do some stock inletting. Ill take pics when its all done.
