I was visiting a gunsmith friend yesterday and while we were shooting the breeze, I spied a familier muzzel sticking out of a shelf full of old parts. I wandered over and pulled it out. A mint, still in the beeswax (or whatever they coated it with) CAL right hand twist 6 groove #4 barrel. The threads are still coated in the wax and it's never seen an action body. He said he had no use for it and sold it to me. I don't know how many are left out there but I sure feel I lucked out on that one. Will go well on my restore projects.
I have got to spend a day rooting through his garage.
