I'm not going to pick the whole thing apart.......I'll just pick one error and leave the rest for everyone else.
12.7mm (.50BMG) is still used for human targets.......sometimes it's overkill at shorter ranges, sometimes it's at ranges no other cartridge can handle.
It always refers to "gaming." I'm going to assume, it's not necessarily always talking about real world ammunition. Reading it, I'm at least hoping that it's not intended to refer to real world ammunition. My favorite is
44 Magnum - A high powered pistol cartridge designed primarily for hunting, the .44 Magnum offers less power than .50 AE and .454 Casull, but much more than .357 Magnum. Good against unarmored targets.
Don't worry about it, it's great fun to pick apart a video game based on the programmers gross ignorance about firearms and calibers.
Take Halo for example....Bungie (Bungle) actually had their programmers out firing guns in an effort to make the game more realistic. What did they do? Made the shotgun lethal within ten feet random between ten and twelve feet, and not a bit of damage beyond thirteen feet. How short do you have to get a barrel to get a 14" spread at ten feet? Idiots!
