The 1908 date gives you the model. DWM was, at that time, the largest manufacturer in ########, and their orders got filled very quickly. I think you can take 1908 or early 1909 as the date of manufacture.
These things can be just scary accurate. They are 7x57, but the only way yoou can get the best accuracy out of them is to handload for them. I have seen these things turning out consistent sub-1.5MOA accuracy over a period of years, and many, many nasty little half-inch groups at 100 yards.
