Found a wild boar to hunt

Thanks for all the replys. I live in Sask and the farmer who asked me to wack this pig told me to let the DNR know about my intentions and he would go to court till hell froze over if I couldn't legally shoot this vermin on his land.

Invasive species, I doubt ANY DNR would have an issue with killing it.

In Ontario, a wild boar is not covered under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, which means you wouldn't be in violation of it, and assuming you respected all firearms laws, they are fair game...

You don't need to talk to the dnr they have no say over wild pigs as they are livestock not wildlife. The game warden can't do squat if you want to shoot some cows and wild pigs are classed as escaped live stock. It is the same for elk with ear tags and buffalo that are running loose. Most farmers won't admit that they lost anything as it would get them in trouble for not keeping their herd in.

In Manitoba there is no season or tag required.......just make them into pork chops!!!

And as many people have said use the 30-06....they are tough SOB.

hey do you have any inside scoop on hogs? I'd be up for that, pm me if you do.
