I found a partridge on my front porch and a wild turkey on my land today that had been decapitated by what I think is a small predator. Both bodies were untouched, just the neck and head had been removed and I presumed eaten.

What do you think might of done this? Any ideas How to get rid of the culprit(s)?

Raccoons seem to be known for eating only the heads off chickens. Even had it happen to our chickens a couple of times.

A friend was having the same problem with his chickens, a fresh one killed every night for a few days but only the heads gone.
Turned out it was a fisher, coming for a free and easy meal.

We had a mink in our chicken coop a few years back that over the course of about 4 nights bit the chewed the heads off 5 chickens and didn't touch the bodies. But yea a turkey seems a bit big for a mink.

Seen it done in the kootenays with grouse just heads gone I thinking coyote or some small predator fisher or martin I will ask my trapper buddy if he seen this on the occasion

could be a fisher as well....I got a call from a old family friend wanting me to come setup near their chicken coup cause something was eating the heads off their chickens and leaving the bodies.....20min into my stand 2 fishers came out of the woods and got 20ft from the coup before I droped them with 2 SSG's from my 12ga.....after that there hasnt been one headless chicken.
