Brownells sells both wood and fiber guards. Check FABSPORTS for a USGI fiber. And of course there is ebay. Don't see many wood guards on ebay and when you do they typically go for the price of a new one.

usgi is different than norinco's but interchangable, I prefer norincos

Don't throw out the old handguard and broken piece. They can often be fixed perfectly with some cyanoacrylate glue. Do you still have the broken off piece?
