Well, got a phone call and a local dealer has some lead I might be interested in. A fellow was making sinkers and "projects" with it but gave up on it. If looks like this

, I have melted some down and it seems zinc free and tests out to about 10-11 Brinell hardness.
Just wondering what a fair price is, there is close to a thousand lbs of it.

Anywhere from $0.65 a lb to $1.00.

Local metal dealer buys for $0.45 and sells for $0.65. Being in pucks and being all the same adds some value.

Hard to find around here for a dollar, I've heard of folks paying two bucks/lb lately.

You can get bricks from the wholesaler for about $1.30 plus tax. Personally, even though $1/lb is a fair price, I have never paid that much. I am sitting on a crap load of lead and only buy it when the price is right ( < $0.75/lb). This way I sell a few pounds at $1 to offset my cost.

You have lot's of it you should be about to get between 1.50 and 2.00 a pound. Nice and clean and enough of it to do a lot of work with, don't let anyone low ball you, good luck selling it

Not buying all of it! Just going to get some as my scrounging ways are on hold during summer months, due to work can't get around to usual "donors". If any one is se Sk is interested just pm me and can pass on sellers name. I am not affiliated with seller and he is starting at 85cents a lb. Hope this doesn't contravene any board rules.
