Well, I'll never get rich...
Just received that picture of two Finn Mosins. Guy will send more later.
I hope barrel and overall metal condition is good!
The one on the top is a 1926 M-91, SA marked, T in triangle
The lower one is a 1942 VKT.
I'm very much tempted...

And you just found them, as in free?
No, no!!!:) But I stumbled upon these ones two days ago and I'm waiting for more pics.
I think these were sold in Quebec in the "Century Arms happy epoch" in the '80es.
There were many excellent rifles on saleat that time for, litterally, peanuts.
I'll keep you posted.
The 1926 will be the first; but I'm tempted to buy the pair.
Claven, what do you think of the VKT? I guess that if it has a good barrel it would make a great shooter, hmmm?
PP.

Well, I like all Finn Mosins. My "nicest" M91 in terms of condition is a 1942 Tikka.

VKT M91's aren't particularly rare as Finns go, but are still low production as milsurps go in general. If it were in nice shape and under $200 and filled a hole in my collection, it would meet my "buy" criteria. :)

The 1926, on the other hand, would be a "buy" for anything under $350 if it were matching (bolt to barrel), the bore was shootable, and I didn't already have one. Even better if it's not counterbored - though that wouldn't dissuade me much.

Those two Mosins were living out in an alley, eating scraps from behind the old Chinese place. Thankfully PP opened his door to them and now they can live well.

I wonder if we can get tax write off for helping homeless rifles find a better place to stay.

Tax Write Off? Maybe

Maybe you won't get a tax write off for saving them. But I am sure the Canadian Government will give you a tax write off if you build a furnace and melt them down. You might get government funding for a nationwide project, on those lines
