The Remington and the Starr D.A. revolvers were both purchased from the same collector in July 1971.
These are the only ones we shot.





This M1860 Colt was purchased on June 24 2001 at the Gettysburg Civil War Show.



This Starr S.A Model 1863 revolver I received in a trade on March 9 2019.

 
It took me one hour to get back across the Canadian border because it had to be in a locked container in my trunk.
I had to wander through the duty free shops to find a lock to put on my suitcase.
It cost $60 for GST at customs (1000 Island Bridge)
The sellers bank would not accept my Canadian cheque in U.S funds so I had to send him an additional $120 USD.

It was my first U.S. gun show.
I was not expecting to purchase anything --SO --I only took so much U.S. cash.
I was more interested in checking out the values on different stuff.
I had just bought a Dahlgren bayonet in Montreal----the few examples that I saw at the show were nowhere as nice as the one I had just bought.

Same thing with this Mississippi rifle bayonet purchased on March 12 1995.



Early on the morning of the show I went up to 'Little Round Top' and overlooked the Gettysburg battlefield.
Quite the feeling.

I also went to visit 'The Horse Soldier' store in Gettysburg and bought the VHS film Gettysburg.

That looks like an exceptional holster. I had to pay alot for mine but it's not in that condition. I remember going to the gun shows in Clayton, New York, I believe,years ago. Our car was always the only one searched, coming back on the Cape Vincent ferry to Wolf Island. They even went through my wife's purse, so I stopped going.
 
On March 9 2005 I bought this holster on eBay from a fellow in Dixon Illinois.
For years I thought this was for most Civil War revolvers until I got the larger new holster.
