Fox 20g project pictures of the week

I am glad your Fox is turning out as fantastic as it has.

I called Chris about having him and the guys refurbish my Greener 10 gauge 2 7/8 inch chambered shotgun to like brand new condition. I had some great conversations with Chris over what I wanted done to my Greener. All of Chris’ advice was spot on. I bought the Greener from S.I.R., and it was real rough. Chris and the guys redid the wood so that it looks incredible, browned the barrels, case hardened the receiver, put it back on face, redid the engraving, fixed the internals, and now it locks up tighter than a bank vault. My Greener exhibits the incredible work that Chris and the guys do every day. I hope you enjoy your Fox as much as I like my Greener.

Alberta Al

We are very lucky to have those guys right at home (Canada) I don’t think we can do better than that anywhere else

That sure is some nice work you have going on there.
How did you find these guys and what sort of lead time and time frame from start to finish did they provide?
Looks like it is going to be one special shot gun.
The Fox has some sentimental value to you to deserve such a project?
Just curious.

HI ROB, How did you find these guys ? Well for Chris Dawe I think I heard of him in Let’s see pictures of you sxs, Or may be it was in a Google search, not sure anymore, For Lemieux it was a google search for sure but Chris Dawe highly recommend them, Time wise, I always tell them I’m in no rush, but how big of a project and how buzzy they are will contribute to how long is going to take, Sentimental value, No, I really like AH FOX guns, I was lucky to find a 20 gauge in good shape, so I decided to go for it l

Thanks for answering the questions.
Again, amazing piece of work, will have to share the pics with my cousin who just built an air chisel in an attempt at satisfying his desire to learn something.
Again, Great Thread and Thanks for sharing.

THANKS for your comments guys, I also like what Paul did with the top strap, can’t wait to see it done, The right side of the action is not
quite finished still need polishing but looks good already

John, will the Sterlingworth be ready for the Calgary Gun Show? Would love to see it.

I’m not sure Jason, Lots of engraving still needs to be done then back to Oskar to get the French grey done, after that is Chris turn, Checkering, barrels, and everything else, I’ll keep you informed.
